What RWA means here

Real-world assets (RWA) are traditional assets represented by a token on a blockchain. On Robinhood Chain the largest set is Robinhood’s own stock tokens — on-chain versions of listed shares and ETFs such as TSLA, NVDA and AAPL. Robinhood’s registry currently lists 195 of them.

What a Robinhood stock token is

Each one is a tokenized debt security issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited that tracks a share. It is an ordinary token on-chain — it can be held, transferred and traded in pools — but it is not the share: it carries no ordinary shareholder rights, and it adds issuer, contract and on-chain market risk.

How the on-chain price relates to the share

The share’s price, adjusted for splits and dividends, gives each token a fair value. The token’s own price comes from its on-chain pool, so it can sit above the share (a premium) or below it (a discount). Only approved institutions can create or redeem the tokens, so the gap can persist, and outside US market hours the share side stops updating while the token keeps trading.
